WHAT TO EXPECT

Planning your installation

01

Assess your existing panel

We review your panel, available capacity and planned electrical loads before recommending an upgrade.

02

Review your options

We’ll discuss suitable panel and service options, including 100A or 200A upgrades where appropriate.

03

Plan the installation

Before work begins, discuss the scope, utility coordination, required permits or inspections, and any planned power interruption with our team.

What does it cost?

Your quote depends on the existing electrical setup, equipment and installation requirements. Share your project details so we can review the scope with you.

What information do you need?

Your current panel rating if known, the loads you plan to add, and your preferred timing.

BEFORE YOU UPGRADE

Start with the capacity you need

A new appliance doesn’t always mean you need a new panel. We’ll review your existing service, available space and planned electrical loads before discussing the options.

When to get an assessment

  • Adding an EV charger, heat pump or other major equipment
  • Renovating, adding living space or building a garage
  • Planning a panel replacement or service upgrade

What affects your quote

  • Existing service capacity and equipment condition
  • Panel and meter locations, access and wiring requirements
  • Utility coordination and any related work required
Is a panel replacement the same as a service upgrade?

No. A panel replacement changes the panel equipment. A service upgrade increases the capacity supplied to the property and may involve additional equipment and utility coordination. We’ll help identify which work your project needs.

Will the power need to be turned off?

Panel and service work can require a planned power interruption. Discuss the expected duration and utility arrangements with us before scheduling, especially if your property has equipment that must stay powered.

Can you quote from photos?

Photos and equipment details can help us understand the project. A site visit or further assessment may still be needed before we can confirm the scope and price. Please don’t remove panel covers to take photos.
